Launched in 2019, Richard has used his extensive experience to found a company whom specialise in the land and development sector. Having worked through multiple markets and adapting to various policy changes, Richard is an expert when advising on potential development opportunities. Read more about his experience below.

Richard Potts

Richard has circa 20 years’ experience in the residential and mixed-use development sector mostly operating in London, the Home Counties and Central Southern England.

 

Having spent 10 years at CALA Homes as Land and Planning Director, Richard then spent 3 years as Managing Director of Seaward Properties prior to setting up Chartfield Homes.

 

Richard has an extensive local network and is focussed on delivery of quality developments with a conscious strategy to avoid the mass-produced homes of volume Housebuilders.  

 

Richard has been an instrumental part of the team in delivering successful outcomes at the following:

 

Molly Millars Lane, Wokingham – 225 New Homes adjacent to the Emm Brook  - Significant ecological and environmental hurdles to overcome.

 

Reading, Bulmershe Campus – 290 Homes – Former educational facility in residential area large amounts of demolition and significant engineering works required.

 

Amersham, Raans Road – 83 Homes and a Church – Complicated drainage and highways solution.

 

Englefield Green, Wick Road – 90 Homes – Highly sensitive location adjacent to Virginia Water Lake.

 

Ickenham, RAF West Ruislip – 495 Homes and C2 care facility – Former RAF base with extensive contamination, complicated drainage and highways solutions and adjacent to Central Line Tube.

 

Woking, Brookwood Farm – 300 Homes and C2 care facility – Extensive level changes to overcome as well as offsite highways works and delivery of community park.

 

Winchester, Barton Farm - 2000 Homes – Urban extension to Winchester, highly sensitive with extensive engineering works and rerouting of A road through the site.

 

New Alresford, Sun Lane – 320 Homes and Industrial/Commercial – Largest development in the area for many years, many level changes to overcome and new roundabout to A31 trunk road. 

 

Watford, Cassio Campus – 220 Homes and mini supermarket – Former educational facility in sensitive residential area, much asbestos removal, swallow hole/solution features mitigation and remediation required.

 

Southbourne, Near Chichester, West Sussex – 167 Homes - Former caravan park promoted through the planning process and consented at local level.
